What Is the My Safe Florida Home Program?

This state-funded program is designed to make Florida homes more storm-ready and resilient. Through the program, you can access:

  • Free wind-mitigation inspection of your home
  • Matching grants up to $10,000 for approved upgrades
  • No matching funds required for qualifying low-income homeowners
  • Possible insurance discounts after improvements are completed

Not only will your home be better protected during storms — you may also see lower insurance bills and better year-round comfort.

Other homeowners (for inspections only, if funding remains)

Low-income: May receive the full $10,000 with no match required.
Moderate-income: 2-to-1 match for example, $5,000 from you becomes a $10,000 project.

Very responsible, professional, and reasonably priced! We had shutters and an impact door put in. They were with us every step of the way all the way up to the inspection and then they had us pick out the casing to install on our new door. The door is beautiful and the shutters are super low profile. The door is custom made and they have loads of options. They even sent a copy of the inspection report saying we passed. Loved having them work in our home!!
